Required In-App Disclosure Before Permission Request
Grace Connect collects and uses your device location to enable automatic church attendance check-in when you are near your church during a scheduled service. If you enable automatic attendance, Grace Connect may use location data even when the app is closed or not actively in use, but only for attendance, geofencing, duplicate check-in prevention, late-status calculation, and attendance history. You can turn off automatic attendance or revoke location permission at any time in the app or your device settings.
1. Why Location Is Used
Location helps Grace Connect determine whether a user is physically near the church location during a scheduled service. This supports automatic attendance, manual check-in validation, duplicate prevention, late status, and accurate church records.
2. When Location May Be Collected
Location may be collected when a user opens the attendance feature, uses manual check-in, enables automatic attendance, or allows geofencing. If background location is enabled, the app may check location while the app is closed or not actively in use for the limited purpose of attendance detection.
3. What Data May Be Used
Grace Connect may use coordinates, permission status, distance from the church, church geofence radius, service schedule, arrival/dwell timing, check-in status, date, late status, and related attendance metadata.
4. What Location Is Not Used For
Grace Connect should not use location data for advertising, sale of data, unrelated tracking, profiling unrelated to church attendance, or sharing with unrelated third parties.
5. User Control
Users may disable automatic attendance inside the app where available, deny location permission, choose manual check-in where available, or revoke permission through Android or iOS device settings. Some attendance features may stop working if location is disabled.

“I understand that Grace Connect may use my device location, including background location if I enable automatic attendance, to support church attendance check-in and geofencing. I can turn this off at any time in the app or my device settings.”
